About Me

Peter J. Seuffert

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist with over 20 years of experience in the art of helping others. Well versed in many modalities, including hypnotherapy, my greatest education has been a meld of being married to the same woman for 42 years, raising children and enjoying grandchildren, all within the context of faith and a strong belief in God. An author, monthly contributor to a parenting magazine, and lecturer, I have devoted my life to giving people the knowledge to identify and use their strengths to face the challenges that come with living.

Anxiety and depression are two of the most common mental health issues. Too often those who are affected feel that they can just “get over it” and suffer needlessly. The fact is that a great deal of anxiety and depression develop in childhood and are caused by life. Abuse or neglect, death of a loved one, loss of a job, health issues, aging, relationship difficulties, even the “empty nest” are all experiences that can cause a multitude of mental health issues. I have lived through those transitions and felt how anxiety and sadness can affect your life as well as the members of your family. I have also learned to draw on my strengths, the love of my family, and the support of others to deal with the uncertainties of life.

A transplant from the east coast (NYC and Rhode Island) my wife and I followed our grandchildren (their parents too) to the wild west, where I maintain a private practice in individual and family therapy as well as clinical hypnosis.

If you feel that my education and life experience might be of help to you, please feel free to contact me by phone or email to discuss your situation.
